reporting can be a boring job, especially when you have to sit through 21 nominators speeches so I am not about to start having a go anyone who did report.
That said though, the whole speech from Terry McDonald was based on the 2002 elections when we both met. He stated that in 2002 I had put in my manifesto items such as the need for a monopolies commission which then got put in, the need for childcare which is coming in this year (apparently) and specifically that I was against the introduction of what is now called GST so that it could prove that I had a bit of foresight by discussing issues like those before they were discussed by the general public.
By missing out the bit about it being my 2002 manifesto it read in the JEP like it was something I was just putting forward for debate this year, which changes the whole thing from being "a forward thinker" to nothing more than a person who jumps on a bandwagon.
I just hope that they reporters don't fall asleep in the hustings with 21 people answering the same question otherwise I have no idea what I will be portrayed as next. I will get a copy of the speech and post it on the website as soon as I can.
