Missed the message on this one because I was walking to fast but it has a grinning Geoff Southern on the poster.

Geoff Southern gets my vote.
I don't think he's crap at all.
Infact, if there were more politicians like him, there would be no GST for a start. He is also one of the few baby boomers I know who shares common ideals with generation x, y and Z.
The establishment are all boomers  -(plus Ozouf- generation x)
They have a reputation as the greedy generation the world over.

Sorry - totally disagree with that last comment.  Jeff and the JDA appear very eager to give our money away yet at the same time attack those who create the wealth.  Good old communism.  If the JDA get in Jersey will become a bankrupt backwater, with no jobs, welfare or career prospects for our young and those who can will have left.   Maybe if we are lucky the UK will absorb what is left.

surely there's the prospect of Jersey becoming a backwater with no money with our current leaders. we already lost our days of being in the black, and that was before this latest banking crisis. removing corporate tax to keep finance sweet over here may look silly if jobs go and the recession develops and the GST is lower than expected.

Sorry T4 - been busy fluffing up Nick and the other good dudes.

I got home last night late after polling neighbours in a petition against midnight barking dogs in the neighbourhood - yep its a little rough out here, to get my copy of the beano which my missus sneaked out of the neighbours house when he was dozin. Problem is I realised that there are terrible undue influences on the young these days with all the hustings  and the posters which have been put up sporting mustaches an horns an stuff. My 13 year old had gone through the whole paper with a marker correcting all the photos which our rag had incorrectly printed. Didn't mind this so much as the problem being what do I tell the neighbour when I sneek the paper back onto his kitchen table before he wakes up??
Talk about a bad influence on kids today!

A bit like Iceland, who have arrived there by following manic capitalist ideas.

Don't be too hard on old Geoffrey Mr. Conductor. She's a working girl after all. She has fellas being hard on her day and night. Anyway what about Ozzy Pip? Now there's a man that's 'not all there' and needs the votes from those that are. The irony is tragic.

There is a middle ground which doesn't involve mortgaging the entire island to buy currency swaps, or shoving everyone in the finance sector in to the sea....
