Time for him to wake up
« on: October 31, 2008, 02:35:38 PM »
If anyone know this farmer deputy perhaps wake him up and tell him his 3 years are almost over and it's time to decide if he wants to continue having the £45000 being paid in his account.
Oh.. and don't forget to give him a map of Jersey so he can find his way to the Royal Square. I am sure he will travel free on Connex

How does that Beatles song go again ?
He's a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to, etc

I am told he is a pretty good parish deputy.  He has also been the vice chairman of the PAC and has done an excellent job there.  Also has been on a number of scrutiny panels - which produced reports which have caused ministers to revise decisions.

If you look at his voting record you will see that he has a good attendence record too.

All right, perhaps I was a bit harsh on him
Let's see if he is standing again and how well he will do
Anyone else knows him or has a point of view about him ?
Personally I have heard him once on talk back a while ago and he came over as a most boring man.
Anyone from St Ouen here ?

Yes I live in St Ouen.  James Reed is well known in the parish, and is generally seen as a helpful and amiable person. Politically somewhat different from my generally liberal views.  I hear distinct indication that there may be a contested election in the parish this year.  Elections here abouts are influenced by such considerations as whether you  are  a Vibert, Le Brocq or Carre.

But there's definitely no oil under the northern slopes of St Ouen. Is there?

I hear there's an application for an exploratory rig in a field off La Grande Cueillette ;)

You don't think the reason we haven't demolished the old camp at Plemont is because we will need somewhere local to house all the oil workers in the parish once the first gusher comes in?  :P
