One thing is for sure that if they did, they would leave here and be welcome elsewhere and its as simple as that.  I think you have to get a balance on what is reasonable tax for people.  The 1.1.K people are not invited to live here just to bail out dead beats.

Like I mentioned previously, I understand the average tax payable is around £100,000.00 per annum and I would class that as enough in my mind seeing as they get no hand outs.

Billionaires?  Where?  I didn't think we actually had any of the elite now living in Jersey?

What kick them out and lose over £8 Million tax like we get now?  Stop being bitter and jeolous of people that have money.

A few 1.1.K's I do know are retired anyhow and they sure as hell don't make the income figures you are pulling from the sky.

If I was a multi-millionaire and I took nothing from the system and was just paying into it for poor people then I would tell Jersey to get stuffed.

This is part of the reason they came to Jersey in the first place.  The socialists and communists believe that the rich should supplement the poor all the time.  I do not believe in this, if they pay already high levels of tax, then they should be left alone.

It is up to the poor to do things to improve themselves.

Even I am now bailing them out.

The ones I met actually fell in love the Island's beauty.  This isn't the only Island in the world were people can live to mitigate their tax.

Jersey is actually not the top place.

Tell me what they get from the system?  The services of the Police perhaps and the States?  I wouldn't really regard it as much for the amount of tax they do pay.

But most already do pay tax, you are talking as if you want to shaft them for even more.
