Get real look what happened at the last and previous senatorials it made not one bit of difference. TLS had a lot of jeering and look where he is now!

Personally as long as it is well mannered it proves who is able to handle it.

Perhaps a shame more interest in the Deputies was not shown, look at those that just sailed through some even unopposed. The problem in Jersey is that there is no great opposition. Scrutiny is fairly tame and is often ignored.

I blame it on the electorate, and the apathy of the general public to take a real interest and concern in what is actually going on politically. For instance the GST issue several went against their platform pledges knowing full well that they would not be held to account in any great way.

If it is true that Nellie Macon was jeering politicians apart from her son at every hustings then I think it its disgusting.

We need new rules at the Hustings.

1) People that actual live in the Parish given priority to attend;
2) People like Nellie Macon and the Time 4 Change rent a mob only allowed in at the hustings where their one candidate lives.
3) People removed from the hustings if shouting out all the time;

Otherwise it is like a BNP rally and no wonder people are put off from voting.

How sincere are you being?

I bet if you were there and someone was heckling the candidates you don't like, you would be buying them a beer afterwards!

I wasn't jeering - I was contesting untrue statements continually being made by some of the candidates. Since there is no means available to the public to object to untruths being stated by the candidates - how do you show them you are not taken in other than by making your objection heard?

Mike Vibert kept on repeating that no child would be deprived of reaching their true potential through lack of financing. I took this up with him on one occasion and he admitted that some were losing out because their parents couldn't afford the fees - then the very next hustings he repeated exactly the same speech. We all know many parents can't afford uni fees but because they are both working they get no assistance from the States so the child loses out .....so why did Mike Vibert persist in making this statement?

Alam MacLean and Philip Ozouf said they were working hard to promote agriculture and tourism yet they were planning to raise harbour dues by 2.5% - resulting in a hike in freight charges and travel costs...

Philip Ozouf stated that the Regulations and Undertaking Law was ensuring that local people had priority for local jobs .......we know it simply isn't working.

These are just a few examples.

I'm normally extremely polite and well mannered but this was just too much!

This in answer to her constant braying, screaming, and unfortunate comments at ALL of the hustings!

It is working well enough for you lad though Nellie, who would have thought that a nondescript, no nothing , no experience "lad" like your son could have got have got a top job in the states at 12 1/2?

If you are referring to the lady (Mrs De Sousa?)who got a job as deputy  at the same time and was only in the Island for 2 years and has yet to  turn up for work , perhaps HR could have a word in her ear, in the meantime,I remain , totally pissed off with you, your son,absentee members of 2 years residence, absentee member "Father of the States" who only bothers to feather his own nest  of publicity otherwise only to fulifill his destiny as Christ arisen and JDA members who could do us all a favour and just go and top some broccoli instead of committing crimes then seeking States sanctification.
