Danroc, having looked again at your comment , I can see that it could be taken in two ways,I obviously took it the wrong way , so I will apologise for that. Your comment was not quite as Vanilla as you have portrayed on your last posting ,but what the hell.
Lets get back to slapping politicos and saints and cut out the internecine stuff ......well until the next time!

A little continuity wouldn't go a miss.  I had a post removed and was warned for joking that everyone on PJ were 'paranoid weirdoes'.

Hardly assult of the week but I thought it was fair enough if they did.   Standards seemed to have dropped.

That was done by another moderator not me.

As far as I am concerned the term "paranoid weirdoes" would not warrant either its removal or a warning. Moderators should not take sides nor should they allow their personal views to influence their actions. In the past, there has been evidence of moderators taking sides and this is not acceptable. If you want consistency in the moderation of PJ, that is what you are getting but don't expect the moderators to jump in on your side just because somebody slaps you down from time to time. If you are not prepared to defend your points of view, you are better off keeping them to yourself. Standards have not dropped, they are being "standardised"

The Bible accredits Solomon as the builder of the First Temple in Jerusalem and portrays him as great in wisdom, wealth, and power, but ultimately as a King whose sin, including idolatry and turning away from God, leads to the kingdom being torn in two.

No surely not! This thread is exactly what PJ needs at the moment. A bit of forum banter is good for the soul. I can just picture old Spartacus spitting his mid morning G&T when he read Danrok's last post. Keep it up fella's. If we throw Rico into mix for good measure and it could be 5.30 before we know it.

Ole Razzy I agree, it is not a moderators job to censor which posts are up for debate unless of course they are extremely rude and low life. Admin made it clear that the thread titled Is Stuart Syvret Compas Mentes, was fair, even as it happened SSS himself said it was unnecessary  on PJ. Would any one have complained if it had been Terry Le Suer named. As it worked out many members wrote words of support many did not, its called debate.

In my opinion the heading of this thread as ole razzy says is inviting and getting debate amongst members, after all this forum belongs to them. For a moderator  to lock it, is simple censorship.

Censorship is not what planetjersey is about.

Just goes to show nobody's perfect! Let him without sin cast the first stone.

Interesting.

It was Mod4 that deleted it and warned me.  I felt at the time that it was pretty hilarious.

I'm all for some more 'natural' discussion. Bring it on then.

As I have said on other occasions, you are all grown ups and should know the limits of acceptable behaviour. If you don't then a moderator will step in.

I thought I remembered the style of posting, so done a quick search.
It's interesting that someone who thought the forum is full of freaks and openly admits to joining just to wind up people has now rejoined as one of the admin on here :-\

By way of background, a group of us decided to join PJ to see how far we could go to wind up the freeky geekies during the election run up. I was the only one that used my real name but there are several others who meet every day. So far, I would say we have done rather well. However, now that election day has arrived, we have decided to call it a day until next time.

Have a nice life, or at least try and get one.

Steve

I mod another site.  In the 3 odd years I've been doing that I've only deleted two things.  One thing about a possible beating dished out to a certain someone's wife. And something else about one of the menbers being naughty with someone they shouldn't have.

At the end of the day, people should have way more freedom to say what they want on the net. Some people attract abuse and abuse usually find it's way to them.  Swaring should be allowed too, in this day and age.  Everyone swares, it's part of the language FFS!
