Roy Le Hérissier talks about diplomatic elections on the phone in.  (this is a guy who got in unchallenged) and then Nick Le Cornu phones in and claims the JDA/Southern votal fraud stint was all legit, and makes a comparison to their plight and a Bernard Manning Alabama gag from his video of 1985.

Are these people real?

I assume you mean democratic?

That he got in unchallenged doesn't make his election undemocratic, he still got more votes than anybody else as he was nominated by, I think, ten electors.

If anybody else wanted to stand it would appear they couldn't even muster that amount of support.

Dumb bee- yes they are real people.
I've known Roy and Nick for several years.
I consider both men highly intelligent.
Roy's field is politics and my guess is there is nobody on the island as knowledgeable about politics as Roy.
Ditto no-body as knowledgeable on the subject of environmental science as Nick.

I disagree

If Roy is so good at politics why is in the background and his achievements are not exactly ground breaking, he certainly got put in his place on sunday and shown up for exactly what he is.

What has Nick done for the local environment? he certainly kept quiet about that in the elections as he spoke a load of tosh about Terry Le Main when I saw him at hustings, not that Terry is any better.

Erm...have you lot got the right Nick? One Jersey 08 is referring to Nick Palmer not Nick Le Cornu, isn't he? I don't recall the unmistakeable tones of Mr Le Cornu ringing Talkback this week.

See Roy "I repeat everything twice in case your not listening" is coming to the aid of his buddy Deputy member of diddly squat, and bringing the case of retired police officer Power to scrutiny, is this really what the Island has to waste its time and money on at present, as I have said before many Islanders have lost their jobs through no fault of their own and the one that did deserve to lose it gets all sorts of dialogue all at the tax payers expense, it just highlights how useless many of the backbenchers really are in the States.
