...His excuses are pretty lame and frankly transparent!
Unless they're true, in which case what you see as frankly transparent could just be you seeing what's not there.

His excuses are like a Tory standing next to his wife and saying the accusations of the Brazilian Rent Boy are completely unfounded as are the stories about his excessive expensives for the same!

Well I agree with this. He looks believable enough.  Any unsure response from him could be coming from the fact that he cannot believe he's been involved in such a lame witch hunt.

Come to think of it, I can't believe I've gotten involved with this.

Monty needs a states supplied town property where he can get shit faced and walk around the flat with his pants round his ankles like the rest of us do - without fear of some uppity young lady trying to shaft you internationally.

Oh DBB - if you are not permanently attached to this site, you are always 'asking lots of people' what they think. You must have a very sad life!

This is hardly world shattering news. WHAT is all the fuss about. He (if it was Monty) has access to the States Building at any time, and has done nothing illegal. If he chooses to use the hospitality of the States Chamber for whatever purpose what is the problem?

I actually find it quite amusing, apart from Terry Le Snitch. Far more to worry about there.

Heaven forbid DBB if you are that straight-laced. All the 'lots of people' you communicate with must find you a real pain in the proverbial.

Far more worrying is the fact that he may have been pissed when he decided to get his head down in,"The Office".
Was he alone?
Does he know?
Who else could have got access to ,"The Office", when he was pissed?
Would any other employer put up with this?

Thats your opinion.  But if it was so trivial then why is it all over the news?  Montfort is just a kid in his 20's and at the moment continues to behave like one.  These are only comments after the JEP went around the office.

I don't give a flying about this incident but many people do and you have to respect that.  Many of the voters out there are older and more mature than this and from the allegations TLM has been getting from some people around MT's 'circle' of friends of late it is hardly surprising TLM will bite back at a given opportunity like this.

Well you must work in a very 'liberal' office DBB, you seem to have been on the site quite a lot today during working hours, and the JEP goes round the office, again during working hours. Hope your boss knows about all this.

And...........two wrongs do not make a right, so T Le Snitch 'getting his own back' sounds even more immature.

Is the Tory lying though?  You can't use your belief that one person is lying as evidence that your belief that another person is lying has great relevance.

Even more worrying than that is that Chief Minister Le Sueur may have entered the building late one evening after possibly being out drinking, he might have taken a prostitute in with him and there's a chance he snorted cocaine off the naked prostitute, who could have been an underage boy.  After a possible all-night sex session it's not beyond possibility that they mopped up semen using the Bailiffs robes.

...He is bang to rights in the interview though, been caught out hook line and sinker here.
Are you talking about the interview linked to at the start of this thread? If so he's hardly 'bang to rights' or 'caught out'; he didn't make a great performance, but nor did he admit anything untoward.

Actually the interviewer was CRAP. As long as he is not 'drunk' in States meetings does it matter one jot or not?

Never (if he did) had a drink or two DBB.

Glad BBC news did not give too much air time on this 'breaking news'!!

I think he has been caught out by this interview and you can tell by his reaction to the questioning that he is uncomfortable...
Would you appear comfortable if an interviewer asked you questions about rumours that you were a paedophile?

He answered the questions asked, he admitted no wrong doing and didn't make any statements that were controversial as far as I noticed.

He repeated himself too much and didn't appear terribly comfortable in front of the camera, hardly conclusive proof of guilt.

The reporter didn't do a very good job either, she really didn't have much to say and did a really bad job of trying and failing to twist his words and corner him, trying to be too clever.

Edit: I've just watched the interview again and actually I know have greater respect for Dep. Tadier, the interview did a terrible job, and he actually handled himself very well considering.

...He is saying "malicious" rumor, so we know he has enemies within the States then because he has admitted it.  And why does he use that stupid word 'dichotomy' all the time?...
There you go again making assumptions and stating them as fact.  What word should he use instead of dichotomy?

...Give it a rest!!!  TLM and CTV have over the past 24 hours made him look like a complete ***hole!...
How?

How exactly did CTV make him look bad? what have we learned that incriminates the Dep. in any wrongdoing?  Has TLM named Dep. Tadier?

You're the one 'begining' to look foolish for being drawn in to a non story from the media and hearing things that aren't being said because you're desperate to hear what you want.

Did you see the beginning to CTV tonight with the cartoon?  Watch that, it's online, and then tell me they are not making him to look like an idiot.

A non story?  Yer right!
Not to me, in fact because they're trying so hard and so badly to spin the story to make him look foolish or comical when there's no evidence to support their assertion, it's them that look foolish.

You appear to think he looks like a complete asshole because of how the story's been portrayed, but you've missed the point that he's not be shown to have done anything wrong, foolish or comical.
