I studied Citizens Media earlier in the week and there is just one blog that posts the video recordings.

As you don't post on that site bumble, it is a far more interesting site to read. Unlike this one

If you dont like it you can always do one!
why would anyone join a website to say they don,t like it? strikes me as being asinine at least , perhaps provocative , but generally just dumb.

The Chapman Report has highlighted a massive weakness in citizens media and this is the making of sweeping allegations without proper evidence.  VFC is saying to people that Power is innocent of any wrongdoing as I read it, and on other matters it forms a one sided opinion after interviewing friends.  Mr Tadier appears to be regularly filmed on there and I am surprised that Constable Crowcroft is involved.  You then get posts on the blog praising people that will be filmed by cam for them.  I would like to figure out the objective of it all because unlike the JEP with around 50,000 readers I just wonder what percentage of the audience such blogs take in themselves. 0.001% maybe?

All news media is biased, the JEP don't give even reporting on all sides they have there agenda that suits themselves and advertisers.
The amount of times they edit reports and letters to suit there own view, even when it completely changes the point/issue is a joke. At least on most blogs if the publish your reply it's not edited.

I have  tried  to publish critical postings on the SSS blog and he refuses to publish them.

I pointed out that many on PJ with opposing views supported Rico and this has not appeared.

Apparently we are all apparatchiks of the oligarchy and spin doctors.

I wish he would join the Plain English Campaign as this is long overdue!

Agreed. I have tried to publish supportive comments on his blog under my avatar but they too never saw the light.

Durendal - You have touched upon something that has concerned me in the past. Something that I found hard to explain away. PJ is not, in my experience, and as many would have it, a site populated by a hardline bunch of right wingers desperate to prop up the establishment and rubbish SSS at every opportunity. It is in fact the only politically diverse forum in Jersey and takes in all shades of opinion - except, thankfully, the downright ignorant, although at times we do get frightfully close!

This is never reflected in the comments that are published on SSS's blog - as in those that actively seek to criticise this forum. Very recently SSS said about PJ;

No more about PJ - and the handful of oligarchy trolls who keep the fictitious forum going.

If you want to waste your time arguing with 30 different avatars of a couple of lone losers - and a few paid, oligarchy spin-doctors - then more fool you.

And as for the tragedy that is (name deleted by ole razzy) - remember that golden rule of politics - never argue with an idiot in public.

PJ is a fiction - it is a fake forum - constructed and run by Jersey oligarchy spin-doctors.

I haven't wasted any time even looking at it form many months.

I recommend the same approach to others.

Unless, of course, you enjoy being lied to - by people who are paid to do so - with your taxes.

Stuart

Of course all this is quite untrue. I know many posters personally on this site and on this occasion he's quite wrong. Some of us like him - others really really don't. That's life. That's politics. It does not mean to say it is a fiction.

If SSS had taken the time to look in over many months he would know that there are many who use this platform who do support him. So here at least he is letting himself, and those that invest time in his principles but chose this 'live real time' forum to express their ideas, down.

Very interesting points raised Ole Razzy, I hardly read his blog at all because I noticed it was becoming far to bitter a long time ago but to say - PJ is a fiction - it is a fake forum - constructed and run by Jersey oligarchy spin-doctors. Is not only a silly statement but where on this forum can one come to this conclusion or is it just because some of us question his motives and behaviour?  When he eventually vanishes into the sunset I think debate can only get better.  People should not be attacked like this for their own freedom of expression, do other States member get so uppity when accused of being daft?  The way I see it is that when you become a states member you are answerable to the public and you should be hardened up to be shot at, you don't start a blog to counter attack members of the public who may just be questioning you!  I have also been told by people who have put a counter view on both VCF and syvret's blog for it never to see the light of day, and he says others are the spin doctors!

Maybe just to clarify matters his blog should say "Thoughts on the Microcosm: Looking out at Reality from Within a Rich Island". N.B. views which do not agree with my way of thinking will not be published.

I'll wager that any comments posted on his blog, by names registered here, will be deleted by default.

So, he must be browsing PJ, in order to establish a black-list of names. ;)

I do not believe that is the case at all , he carefully selects items to which he can give a response and ridicule the writer and ignores anything which may not be in total agreement with his views and may be troublesome to respond to ,,, I bet your  your stuff and batty buoys gets allowed every time!

Yeah I guess its highly possible Danrock. Does feel like that. But I will say this about him. Once an attempt was made to 'out me' on his blog. One of those hysterical bloodlust messiah types who clearly hadn't bothered to read any of my posts or absorb my political perspectives - but quite simply put 2 + 2 together and got 5. SSS let the comment through and I was quickly texted by half dozen people mostly from PJ letting me know about it (PdT I never did ask what you were doing up at 7am on a Saturday but there we are!). Quickly I was able to contact a fellow poster who spoke directly to Stuart (as he is not known personally to me) and instantly the offending post was deleted. I emailed SSS to thank him and he gave me a very courteous response. So on that occasion fair play to Stuart Syvret.

Its not always black and white but it is strange, nonetheless, that his clearly fixed views on PJ do not, to my mind at least, ever bend a little to accomodate those posters who have in their numbers demonstrated publicly their support for him right here. Still I suppose you can't have it all.
