Fabio Capello's men will then face Algeria in their second game in Cape Town.

England will play Slovenia in their third game.

It comes after England was drawn in Group C for the tournament in South Africa.

Any thoughts on this one?

England struggle in group get out by the skin of their teeth - cue England are rubbish

Play well in first knock out stage - Cue England are Brilliant

Get knocked out by Portugal/Germany/The Vatican in the quarter finals on penalties

Cue violence at Minden Place/Bierkeller/St Thomas' by angry England fans clashing with Portugese/Germans/Priests & Nuns

Brazil win World Cup

Er,,, any chance of having a pint of what you have been drinking?
I fully expect every Syvret in creation to tell me that they have always loved Ingerlung for as long as they can remember(probably about 4 years since they last fecked up)
I do love Jersey people with thier allegiance to Ingeeeeeerrrrluuuung , instead of France ,,, a lot closer and much more in tune with the national heritage when it suits.

Well, after getting into that group, I've put a large wedge on England to win, naturally. A fool and his money, as they say...

I've also put a few quid on Portugal at 35-1 too. Just in case I have to endure all that car horn tooting again. The money will make it bearable... ;)

It'll be fun to revisit this thread in July 2010.

As a Englishman with French grand parents on one side and Northern Irish on the other I should be confused ;D

At least I've got 2 teams to support.

They hoot there horns outside my window on a normal day, it happened today until I threatened to stick it up where the sun don't shine.

Having people of Mediterranean appearance from the Atlantic living either side of me I shall be ingerlunging.

Good to see NZ in the draw if nothing else will come of their appearance.
