Geoff Southern - Senatorial Candidate

There has been some considerable confusion over Southern's candidacy. Its on then its off and then its on again. Not really sending out a clear or decisive message to voters but I can reliably inform you that it has had something to do with a certain Stuart Syvret and his apparent apolplexy at Geoff's decision to run originally. Apartently there has been a little spat and now the gloves are off. For a shocking 'expose' read the letters page of the JEP tonight. Former Senator, and ally of Syvret, Ted  Vibert is absolutely furious with SS's 6 months out of the Island. And so perhaps the only winners around their Habitat dinner tables this evening are the establishment candidates who will be feeling more confident that the left's votes have been split in two. Golly!

What the feck are the JDA up to i don't get it what possible reason does geoff have for standing EGO?

If he was to win the by-election it could be the end of his political career. He would have until next october as a senator then what,
 does he run as deputy or senator in the october 2011 election?

It would have to be senator ? and a big field of candidates

Even I don't get this one, as a JDA stalwart. I argued in vain against this blunder, and am so ashamed of them going ahead that I am thinking through the rights and wrongs of quitting over it.
If Geoff were to win, we have no more members than we already have, and another by-election that our foe Rod Bryans will be favourite to win. If he doesn't, we blow a whole load of time and money for nothing, and probably take enough of Suzette Hase's votes to wreck her chance, too.

Ted Vibert , Father of the JDA , which I can only assume is the illegitemate daughter of someone, Rails into Stuey in tonights Evening Post , quite rightly (SPLITTER!) , GEOFF WAS NOT GOING TO STAND ,,,,OOOOPS  against Stupit, + he is already in the States as a deputy,,,,,,how the Rose did that happen?, Stupit might stand on the basis there is at least 18 months money available
and Ted , will not stand against his fellow Jersey Dumb Assholes mates, even though , when push came to shove , self named Assholes were nowhere to be seen.
I believe i mentioned Cowpats might get more votes than southern , He should be made to resign as deputy before he stands so that if he fails , he loses a freakin job , which by the way , he will have again.

Yes i do not get this either with Geoff standing pure suicide for the JDA. Unless they know something we don't.
