Winners and Losers
« on: June 29, 2010, 09:21:18 AM »
Jimmy has said that children must learn to lose as well as winning. I agree with him totally.
This soft approach of children not being able to do sports days any more because there will be losers and that is not right. Bulls**t!!!!  Children must learn that you cannot have everything in life and win all the time.
So why do they have tests for other subjects, when we know some children will not get the grade. So they have failed!
When a child is not that good with class room lessons but excels in sport why should they not be able to show that they are good with something else.

Typical PC Sports day events:

1/ The egg and spoon," lets all help each other to the line walk."
2/ The, "Let,s discuss a mutually agreeable redundancy package", (sack), race,
3/ The , "You will need a wheel-barrow", if that package is over 25kg race.
4/ The, "Don,t dare call me a freak cos I,ve got three legs", race.
5/ The , "Race", sounds a bit, "Racist", as far as I,m concerned race.

Sounds Crazy?

Check out what is happening in British Schools. ::)
