Quiet Changes

It looks with the Committee system on its way back to some degree so that the States can really become more united, less divisive, that Senator Alan Breckon is making his mark, and Senator Terry Le Sueur also seems to be backing the proposals.

It's not flashy like some of the more strident forms of opposition, but it might actually get something changed for the better.

It does not matter what system you have, if a large percentage of politicians are not fit for purpose then it will be doomed to fail. It is the election process that needs a radical overhaul, around 50 percent of the population do not vote because they do not care, a large percentage that do vote: do so for conservative - carry on the way it is candidates, and a few working class/union backed ones.
Many Deputies will never make Senators / Have an Island mandate so how is that correct Government?

Guernsey has a higher turnout that Jersey. Maybe they are doing something better?
