Hi,

A brief comment on the West of Albert (1980's) reclamation site. I have checked with Health and Social Services (Protectorate) and Social Security (workplace). The major works being undertaken by Dandara, the first of the developers is that constant daily monitoring is going on as to what is being extracted. This is subject to Lab analysis and the results come back every three/four weeks. So far, they have found some gray asbestos that is being handled properly and lots of mixed debris, including batteries that should never have been dumped there as mixed loads.

 Dylan,

You don't miss a single opportunity. Soil samples are taken daily and these are bagged and batched and sent weekly to a UK lab.  The results come back for that BATCH about three weeks later.

That's perfectly reasonable.

What's the alternative? Employ an army of States' scientific analysts to provide results within 24 hours?

We'd all be on here moaning about "that bloody army of States' scientific analysts and their gold plated final salary pensions!" Well, I would, anyway  ::)

Sean,

"You don't miss a single opportunity."

Its called being alert. You haven't said whether the three week old samples come back on a daily basis or in batches. The real point I am trying to make is that if - god forbid- there were some toxic waste ( other than toxic credit!) found, the results would be 3 weeks late and those personnel exposed to them may have life threatening problems and consequently huge claims. Are you telling me that you support this?

Sean I started this blog declaring  that I would not vote for you because of your commenst on HDLG .

I would like you to give me an appraisal of your thoughts on the subject today - I am no interested in your thoughts re Lenny Harper  and the handling of the matter by the media.

I would like to know if you as a politician are satified with how the issue is progressing and if you consider that justice will be seen to be done.

Hi,

I cannot micro answer your questions regarding protective clothing etc. I am certain that is factored in with the regard to the whole excavation project. I have put down three questions in this area.
