Len Norman - Talk Back on BBC

Somebody mentioned to me on Face book this afternoon, and I know this topic has already been brought up on another forum but when questioned as to whether Len Norman or other Ministers showed any compassion for the victims of child abuse on Talk Back,  he did sound a little apprehensive about answering the question.

He did say though to his defense that it should go without saying.

I also just wonder whether Ministers should actually refrain from answering such questions until the investigation is finished anyway?

I also wonder why people are demanding the Ministers to openly show concern in a public way now?

Then again, I would have thought that when this exploded into the media back in Feb, there may have been a collective response of some sort and I don‘t remember one (?)

What do you think?  Was his apprehension a suggestion of something less caring?  Or are people over reacting here?

Also yesterday, I asked a question about 2 replacements for GST.

The first one being higher income tax rates for high earners and another on CGT on property transfers.

Neither answer showed to me that he actually understood the question.

So does he understand tax?

Politicians are elected to represent the people, I do not think that it is too much to expect comment from our representatives on the Childl Abuse Enquiry. I vote independant candidates and I do not expect them to toe a party line.

I think the silence of the majorityspeks volumes...........these are indeed murky waters.

I think that Christy Tucker is a good mediator on the Phone In, she knows 99% of the callers and I feel I do too..there is Mary,Tony,  Bridgit , Emile, Barbara, Monty, Nick, and Liebe..........um there must be another couple .............I feel I know them !

I thought the question would be better put at the hustings.

I found it quite interesting to discover he must be an expert on incinerators.
Last night at the Connetable hustings at St.Clement he told us Dr.Van Steenis was "scare mongering".
